Welcome to the official website for the Social Worker of the Year Awards.
The Awards are about recognising the excellent, diverse work that takes place in the profession and celebrating the many outstanding achievements of social workers across England.
The Awards were established in 2006 by independent practitioner Beverley Williams and re-launched in 2011 as a registered charity, the 2012 awards event took place at the Palace of Westminster on 30 November 2012. Details of the 2012 winners can be found here.
Nominstions for the 2013 awards will be open in May, judging will take place and the shortlist will be announced in early October. The 2013 awards ceremony will be held in November 2013..
