Suffolk County Council
Suffolk County Council is delighted to be sponsoring the Adult Newly Qualified Social Worker of the Year award this year, having been immensely proud of the achievements of one of our Newly Qualified Social Workers in winning the award last year.
Our workforce is the cornerstone of delivering high quality services and we are proud of the investment we make in our staff to ensure they have the skills, time and support to improve the lives of Suffolk residents.
We have a highly successful Apprentice Social Worker programme running alongside our many sponsored routes, a range of funded and supported post qualifying programmes, and an excellent Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) programme, with co-production firmly embedded across social work education through our Social Work Teaching Partnership.
We have strong values in diversity and inclusion are proud of our work to prevent racial bias and promote a racially diverse workforce.
We are an ambitious and innovative Local Authority, leading the way in our cutting-edge care technology service and building strong foundations for integrated working through our Integrated Care Academy, the first of its kind in the country.
