Suffolk County Council is delighted to be a THANK YOU sponsor at this year’s Social Worker of The Year Awards.
We are extremely proud of our social workers who, on a daily basis, go the extra mile to make a positive difference to the lives of children and young people and their families and adults who need our support and have helped us to become rated by Ofsted as an ‘outstanding’ local authority for our services to children.
Social work in Suffolk is underpinned by a well-embedded practice framework. Signs of Safety enables us to work in a truly person-centred and solution-focused way, working respectfully and in collaboration with all families, colleagues and organisations in a model where children, parents, social workers and leaders at all levels are an equal party to planning and ownership of challenges and positive outcomes.
The common language and set of values on which all work is dependant acts as a unifying force and way to reduce power differentials within and external to the organisation.
The last year has been particularly challenging across the world and we have witnessed an extraordinary level of creativity and resilience.
Thank you to all our social workers – you are amazing.
