JUDGING PROCESS

When selecting the final shortlist of entries, our judging panel is looking for the person (or teams) who are a fantastic example of great social workers; somebody who can become a role model for the profession and really champion excellent social work practice.
As the Social Worker of the Year Awards continue to grow, the level of competition is increasing and our judges have developed the following top tips to help nominees complete their entry forms.
FOLLOWING THESE TOP TIPS CAN MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE:
Each judge is given a certain number categories to judge, and after entries close they are sent the entry forms for review and comment.
The panel meets either online or in-person in the summer to discuss the entries for each category and determine a shortlist. We normally try to shortlist between 5-7 entries for each category. Each entry is then scored and Gold and Silver winners will be chosen for each category.
