The Social Worker of the Year Awards is the only major national awards event for social work in England, attracting hundreds of entries every year and reaching millions of people with positive stories of outstanding social work, creative and compassionate practitioners and outstanding practice

 

Following three years of virtual events, the Social Worker of the Year Awards will return as a physical awards ceremony on Friday 4th November 2022, 6pm – late.

 

This year we will announce Gold and Silver award winners in 18 categories across adult and children’s social care. Returning categories for 2022 include Social Justice Advocate Award, Lifetime Achievement Award and University of the Year

On the last day of November, we want to celebrate the final award presented at #SWA22. For the first time, we actually had two winners - a solo award and a team award.

The gold award for Overall Social Worker of the Year 2022 was... Kirstie Baughan from @letstalkcentral!!

The gold award winner for the Lifetime Achievement Award was... Sarah Lowe! Congratulations Sarah!

On 4th November this year, we celebrated the fantastic work of some incredible social workers across the UK at #SWA22. The gold award winner for our brand new category of Digital Transformation in Social Work was... @Hullccnews! Well done!

A couple of days ago, we told you about the winners for Team Leader of the Year, Adult Services at #SWA22. Today, we want to remind you about who won Team Leader of the Year, Children's Services!

The gold award winner was... Cheryl Grazette from @hertscc! Well done Cheryl!
