Brian Mitchell

           RECOGNISE INSPIRING SOCIAL WORK

Brian Mitchell qualified as a social worker in 1995 and has always had an interest in human rights, equalities and inclusion and how these impact on professional practice.

Brian is currently a social work lecturer at the University of Bradford. Prior to this Brian worked at Bradford College as Head of School for Social Care and Community alongside lecturing in social work.

As part of his role at Bradford College, Brian developed strong international links with the Arctic University of Norway. In his current post, Brian is involved in a project exploring rights and safeguarding. He also teaches on the Social Work programme at Bielefeld University in Germany.

Brian is an ambassador for The White Ribbon Campaign and supports The Sophie Lancaster Foundation.
