A.Who will be hosting the Awards this year?
We’re delighted to announce broadcast journalist and TV presenter, Ashley John-Baptiste, as the host of this year’s event in November. As a care leaver, Ashley is passionate about raising the aspirations of looked-after children and credits his social worker for helping him get to where he is today. This will be Ashley’s fifth time hosting the awards ceremony; his work raising the profile of the experiences of children in care and understanding of the social work profession, make him a very popular host and friend of the charity.
A. What will each winner receive?
Each Gold Award winner will receive a celebratory trophy and certificate. Finalists will receive a certificate and may describe themselves as such for the category in their corporate literature. They may not claim that their products or services are endorsed by Social Work Awards Ltd.
A. Who attends the event?
Finalists are encouraged to attend the awards ceremony (or nominate a representative to attend on their behalf if they are unavailable) but it is not a requirement.
The Board of Trustees attends, the judging panel, sponsors, those working in the sector and friends of the Awards.
