DASS West Midlands represents the 14 directors running adult social care services for local authorities across the region.
Our focus is on improvement. That means doing things that improve the experience of social care by all adults who need it, their families and their carers.
The WM-ADASS programme of activity involves deputy and assistant directors of social care, social work and occupational therapy professionals, commissioners of services, people from partner organisations, people who draw on care and support and many others involved in shaping and delivering adult social care locally.
Partners include NHS organisations, universities, professional associations, and those delivering care services in both voluntary and private sectors.
We have a team of associates, who provide specialist advice and support, and business partners who work with us on projects and initiatives.
This year we are pleased to be sponsoring the Technology Enabled Lives and Innovation in Practice Award.
Through our recent Future Thinking work we identified ‘technology with a human face’ as one of the six key capabilities for a resilient social care system in the next decade. Earlier this year, our webinar series on AI attracted very large numbers of delegates. If you missed it, you can find video tasters from key presentations on our website.
