Kelly Centro

Kelly has worked within social care for 18 years as a leaving care PA for Derby City Council, prior to this working in education and inclusion.

Kelly is in her second year at Nottingham Trent University studying for a BA Hons in social work. She is doing this via the apprenticeship route so is completing her degree whilst continuing in her professional role supported by her local authority.

Alongside her studies and full time role, Kelly created the 'student social work hub' in May 2020 alongside five other social work students to help unite social work students during the pandemic.

Kelly is passionate about giving social work a more positive image and also about young people in the care system and care experienced young people.
