Social Work Awards charity seeks new Trustees
The charity behind the Social Worker of the Year Awards is looking to recruit two new Trustees to take its valuable work in the sector to the next level and secure its long-term success.
Peter Hay CBE, Chair of the Social Work Awards, says: “We are looking for people with a diverse range of viewpoints who are passionate about social work and can actively support the charity to help it develop and flourish. The Social Worker of the Year awards are vital in giving recognition to and celebrating social work and social workers in England and, with the right driving force behind them, will only continue to get bigger and better in the future.
We are committed to supporting personal development and this is a really good opportunity to learn about being a Trustee and acquire new skills and insights.”
The aims of the charity are to:
- Give recognition to the high quality and important contribution made by social workers in England
- Promote best practice in the profession and celebrate success
- Improve understanding of the range of work which social workers undertake
- Celebrate and promote diversity and equal opportunities in social care.
To apply, please email a CV, details of two referees, and a covering letter to awards@socialworkawards.com by Wednesday 30 January 2019. Skype/phone interviews will be held in February 2019.
