The London Borough of Lambeth is pleased to again be supporting the Team of the Year, Children’s Services award at the Social Worker of the Year Awards 2022.

Great teams achieve great things. England’s Lionesses demonstrated just that this summer showcasing how togetherness, resilience, and collective skill can achieve a brilliant outcome.

Similarly in social work, we know that teamwork and peer support are at the heart of outstanding social work practice and achieving the best possible outcomes for children and families.

In Lambeth, we aim to achieve this through our “Children at the Heart of Practice” framework which fosters a learning culture, excellent management oversight, and group supervision, drawing on the collective resources of a team to provide support, reflection, and encourage multiple perspectives.
