Essex County Council
Sponsoring: ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’
Essex County Council has a longstanding relationship with the Social Worker of the Year Awards. We are proud of our social workers and the difference they make. We believe they deserve recognition for the exceptional work they do every day. We sponsor the awards because we believe, that as a profession, social workers should have the opportunity to pause and reflect on how the work they do changes the lives of people throughout their life course.
This year we are sponsoring the Lifetime achievement award. The winner of this award will be someone who really does stand out for exceptional commitment over their career. In Essex, we are fortunate to have around 400 social care staff who have worked for more than 20 years serving our community so we know that there are ways to retain our staff and ensure our families receive consistent support. Our focus on wellbeing and ensuring our staff feels valued and cared for is central to our recruitment and retention and this is backed up by a dedicated corporate wellbeing lead and a new service dedicated to offering clinical support to staff experiencing trauma through their work.
We can’t wait to be part of the main event in November where we can all come together and celebrate everyone who gives so much to others.
