BASW is a membership-led organisation that provides education, guidance, resources, events, peer support, thematic networks, regional branches, and lobbying government on key issues. We work tirelessly to provide a voice to all social workers, champion the social work profession, and support our members in achieving the highest professional standards whilst promoting the excellent work you do.

We continue to work on critical campaigns influencing change and developing resources and toolkits to support social workers in their professional practice including anti-poverty, strengths-based human rights, social work education, anti-racism, and anti-discriminatory practice.  We recently published Out of the Shadows – The Role of Social Work in Disasters, a collection of stories from social workers and survivors of disasters, highlighting the important role social workers play in these event.
