Social Work Awards charity seeks new Chair and up to three new Trustees
The charity behind the Social Worker of the Year Awards is looking to recruit a new Chair and up to three new Trustees to take its valuable work in the sector to the next level and secure its long-term success.
Current Chair of the Social Worker of the Year Awards, Professor Ray Jones, who has led the awards for three years, is looking to hand over to a new Chair later in 2017.
He says: “We are looking for people who are passionate about social work and can actively support the charity to help it develop and flourish. The Social Worker of the Year awards are vital in giving recognition to and celebrating social work and social workers in England and, with the right driving force behind them, will only continue to get bigger and better in the future.”
The aims of the charity are to:
- Give recognition to the high quality and important contribution made by social workers in England
- Promote best practice in the profession and celebrate success
- Improve understanding of the range of work which social workers undertake
- Celebrate and promote diversity and equal opportunities in social care.
